Job Description

Responsible for the Corporation Tax Compliance cycle including management of outsourced of R&D tax relief claims, QIPS and maintaining accurate transfer pricing documentation

Responsible for the delivery of tax provisions under IFRS as part of the quarterly reporting cycle and year end statutory reporting, including liaison with the Group Tax and Group Consolidations teams in the Head Office in Paris

Identifying and implementing process improvements across the compliance cycle, with a focus on readiness for MTD for corporation tax

Accountability for the tax balance sheet accounts and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, with a focus on post-acquisition integration record keeping

Supporting the Group Tax Team and global tax community on ad hoc projects and queries involving the region, e.g. BEPS Initiatives and cross border contracts

Tax technical research and drafting responses to ad hoc enquiries from the business covering indirect, direct and employment taxes

Line management and coaching of one direct report

The Successful Applicant

Qualified ACA/ATT/CTA with post-qualification experience in a tax setting within an international organisation / consultancy Experience in a tax-based role in-house or actively looking to move in house from a practice background Proactive and enthusiastic approach to their work with the ability to work to deadlines with attention to detail Excellent understanding of deferred tax principles and practical applications in a global group Excellent tax technical skills, with a solid background in compliance and reporting Microsoft Excel skills to an excellent standard (e.g. competent in pivot tables, vlookup, "IF" formulae etc) Strong communication skills, with the ability to form strong relationships with key stakeholders, including HMRC, Group Tax and external advisors, as well as the ability to articulate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals An ability to and desire to keep up to date with changes in the tax arena and to communicate these across a variety of stakeholders
